| Villa in Dalyan, Mugla, Turkey Stylish Detached Villa with Private Pool For the More Discerning who Enjoy a Taste of Paradise Sleeps 6 (3 Bedrooms)
Dalyan has a unique and seductive charm. Easily accessible (flights to Dalaman from most UK airports and then a 20-30 minute drive) the town remains relatively undiscovered and unspoilt, thus retaining the friendliness and local colour sought by many. Villa Gorusuruz is a 3 bedroom detached, modern property, that boasts a private pool (9m x4m), marble sun-deck and a distinctive patio area with a traditional Turkish barbecue, hand-built from local stone. Careful landscaping ensures seclusion and privacy, despite being a 10 minute walk from local amenities, including some excellent restaurants.

Coast/Beach Dalyan is a conservation area (home to the endangered loggerhead turtle) and is built on a river delta. It also boats fine Lycian rock tombs, thermal springs and the famous mud baths.
Ride on a public boat down to the beach (Turtle Beach)in one direction or to Lake Koycegiz in the other. The beach is 7km long and you can also get there (Iztuzu Beach) by public bus (dolmus). The journey takes you through the hills and small villages to the beach where the goats still wander!
Travel The villa is in Dalyan, which is 30 minutes drive from Dalaman airport. Car hire is available, but not essential. You can get anywhere in Dalyan or surrounding areas by good, cheap and frequent public transport (bus or boat).
Distances Dalyan is 15 minutes by bus from the nearest town of Ortaca (market day Friday!). Mugla (market day Thursday I think!) is about 2 hours by bus. Ephesus & Pamukkale: about 6 hours by bus Marmaris: about 90 mins by bus Fethiye: about 1 hour by bus (great market- Tuesday I think!)
Further details Dalyan is a charming little place: several small supermarkets, a good open market (Saturday), banks/ATMs, many and varied shops (from t shirts to carpets) and restaurants. You can find any kind of food to suit your taste, ranging from superb restaurants by the river, to smaller cafes that serve the traditional pide (pizza).
It is a place that has something for everyone, no matter what your age & stage/interests: from doing nothing but relaxing, to white water rafting or sea kyaking, to lazy boat trips along the coast, stopping to snorkel and eat. Its a good place for the children/teenagers in your family: they can enjoy a greater degree of independence from the adults without getting into trouble. It is by and large a very safe place and the locals are friendly and trustworthy.
Booking notes Booking: secured on completion of a booking form and a booking fee of £200 per week. Balance of payment to be paid 8 weeks before commencement date of holiday. |
